Writer: Grace Anne AlfieroGrace Anne Alfiero

Connecting local nonprofit leaders with the wisdom of Influencer, Joan Garry, a LeadershipConnect program will take place on October 22nd.

Princeton—Joan Garry, Veteran TED Talk Presenter and Founder of Nonprofit Leadership Lab which touts to be “The best online source for content and community for board and staff leaders worldwide,” will share her wisdom and compelling stories to a room filled with over 200 nonprofit leaders on October 22nd, at an event beginning at 8:30 a.m and running until noon. A major influencer in the nonprofit leadership space, Joan Garry stated, “I believe that it is the power of nonprofits that turn towns into neighborhoods and neighborhoods into thriving communities and I'm so grateful that the Princeton area community gets this!” Ms. Garry’s newsletter has over 300,000 subscribers, and her award-winning podcast, NONPROFITS ARE MESSY answers the most pressing questions faced by nonprofit leaders around the world. The podcast was created for leaders who commit themselves to public service – executive directors, senior staff, heads of school, development professionals, board leaders, and many more who provide service to the nonprofit sector. Her goal is simple… she aims to find just the right expert to answer the questions on the minds of their listeners. And in so doing, she offers a conversational forum that informs, entertains and inspires.

Joan also added, “The folks who lead these nonprofits have the toughest jobs out there and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to educate them, inspire them and advocate for all they do to change the world in ways large and small.”
